MessageMedia, which conducted a pilot program for the hotel chain, will deliver e-mail messages to members of Starwood's Preferred Guest loyalty program. E-mail messages include monthly statements, which give customers a summary of their account for the previous month. Starwood also hopes to expand its base of opt-in e-mail names so it can more easily communicate with program members online. -- Cara Beardi
