Deutsch, Los Angeles, named John Meyer to the new post of senior VP-creative director of the shop's direct-marketing arm directDeutsch. Mr. Meyer, 40, previously executive principal, director of integration at Publicis in Mid America, Chicago, will work on the shop's existing accounts - Mitsubishi Motors of America and Sun America - as well as new business. He reports to Eric Hirshberg, exec VP-executive creative director of Deutsch L.A.
