MGM TAPS BOB LEVIN TO REPLACE DEPARTING EXECUTIVES

(June 21, 2001) -- Former Sony Pictures marketing executive Bob Levin has been named president of worldwide theatrical marketing and distribution at MGM Distribution Co., a unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

The new position was created following the departures of Gerry Rich, who was president of marketing, and Larry Gleason, president of distribution, Wednesday. Mr. Levin comes to MGM after a short stint at Creative Domain, Los Angeles, a entertainment advertising boutique.

Previously he was president of worldwide marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment and before that as president of Walt Disney Co.'s Buena Vista Pictures Worldwide Marketing. -- Wayne Friedman
