Microsoft, Adobe form Site Builders Network

Published on .

Microsoft Corp. formed a strategic alliance to provide marketing opportunities, technology and systems support for start-up Web sites called the Site Builders Network. The alliance was formed with Adobe Systems, Interactive Imaginations and Macromedia. SBN will offer three levels of support for its affiliate sites; sites participating will carry the Microsoft Internet Explorer logo. Interactive Imaginations will help offer marketing support for SBN through its CommonWealth marketing network, in which advertisers including Microsoft, NBC, Apple Computer, Snapple and others advertise on small affiliate sites that had no advertising prior to registering for CommonWealth affiliation. CommonWealth sites are paid based on traffic generated.
