Microsoft buys online calendar company

Microsoft Corp. has agreed to buy Jump Networks, a provider of Web-based calendar services. Using Jump's services, users can access e-mail, address books and calendars online. Jump's services will be integrated into MSN's Hotmail, free e-mail service and MSN Web Communities. E-commerce functions will also be added into Jump's services, with sales notices that are sent directly to users' calendars.
