Microsoft ceases production for Cinemania and Music Central

Published on .

Microsoft Corp. announced Feb. 26 that it is ending production on its Cinemania and Music Central site, an interactive music reference guide, March 31. In a statement, Laura Jennings, VP, Microsoft Network, said Microsoft is refocusing its direction on services rather than content. Movie guide Cinemania and Music Central, a music reference and entertainment guide, was part of the OnStage area of the Microsoft Network.

Ms. Jennings said that sites such as Slate would be unaffected.
