Published on .

Microsoft Corp., Redmond, Wash., and CompuServe, Columbus, Ohio announced a two-part agreement on Tuesday in which Microsoft will provide access to two CompuServe online brands--WOW! and CompuServe Information Services Co.--from icons in a folder on the Windows 95 desktop. Separately, CompuServe becomes the first licensee of Microsoft's new Normandy technology for commercial Internet services, a move that furthers its recently announced "Red Dog" initiatives to move its services to a Web-based platform.
