Microsoft, HP, 3Com on top

Microsoft Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and 3Com Corp. have the strongest brand equity among computer and software marketers, according to a survey of corporate U.S. computer buyers and sellers done for CMP Media by Interbrand Schechter. The brand consultancy surveyed 2,400 executives about 24 brands including IBM and most key business tech names. The survey didn't include one major brand, Intel Corp.
