Microsoft publishing exec quits

Peter Neupert resigned as VP-news and publishing in Microsoft Corp.'s Interactive Media Group, Redmond, Wash., to become CEO of a venture capital partnership. Mr. Neupert, an 11-year Microsoft veteran, launched the company's MSNBC venture and Slate online magazine.
