Microsoft renames Web service

Published on .

Microsoft Corp., Redmond, Wash., changed the name of MSN Premier, its Internet dial-up service, to MSN Internet Access. The move is meant to differentiate the Internet service provider brand from Microsoft's family of MSN content sites. It's the latest shift since Microsoft launched the original Microsoft Network in 1995 as a proprietary service to take on America Online and other online services.
