Microsoft turns on the promotions

Haven't heard of Windows 95? Youwill tomorrow, thanks to some huge Microsoft promotional stints:

Microsoft is having the Empire State Bldg. in New York bathed in the logo colorsof Windows 95 Thursday night. Management of the 102-story skyscraper said itsspotlights can only accommodate three of the logo's four colors-- red, yellowand green. Blue will be left out.

Microsoft has bought up Thursday's print run of The Times in London and willdistribute it free. The Times said it planned to print 1.5 million copies onThursday, including an advertising supplement from Microsoft. Its average dailycirculation is 655,000. Cost for the promotion was not revealed.
