Microsoft, Ziff do home show

Published on .

Microsoft Corp. and Ziff-Davis Publishing Co. are working with trade-show giant Softbank on a series of home-computer expos dubbed ComputerMania. The show will run over a weekend in Anaheim, Calif., in September and Dallas in October, with plans to expand to more than 12 cities next year. More than 100 other computer-related companies, such as Broderbund Software and Egghead Software, also will have displays. Microsoft is pursuing this show after deciding against sponsoring the rival Home & Family Computing Supershow.
