Miller names new agency

Published on .

Miller Brewing Co., as expected, introduced Miller beer, and named Scaros & Casselman as the agency for the $50 million account. The win more than doubles the billings of the Stamford, Conn., agency formed by two agency executives who had handled Miller business.

Carl Casselman, president and chief creative officer, created the "Tastes great, less filling" line for Miller Lite while at McCann-Erickson Worldwide. Dean Scaros, who also worked at McCann, stayed with the account when it moved to what is now Bates USA and eventually became Bates president and chief operating officer.

A Miller official said the company made the assignment because the agency's creative ideas "impressed the hell out of us."
