Miller shifts Weinhard ads to Wieden from Hal Riney

Published on .

Miller Brewing Co. has shifted Henry Weinhard's ads to Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore., the agency it parted with in 1999 for Miller Genuine Draft. For the first nine months of last year, Miller, a unit of Philip Morris Cos., spent less than $1 million on measured media for Weinhard, according to Competitive Media Reporting. San Francisco's Publicis & Hal Riney, a unit of Publicis Groupe, had handled it since 1999. Wieden has handled Miller High Life since 1996.
