Romes Office Loses $225 Million Account

By Published on .

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- WPP Group's media agency MindShare has laid off employees across all offices in the U.S., said executives close to the agency.

The total number is not known. A spokeswoman for MindShare declined to comment on the layoffs.

The agency's Chicago office lost 20 employees in the cutbacks, which occurred as late as this week.

Overseas, meanwhile, MindShare's Rome office lost the $225 million Telecom Italia business to Media Italia, which is owned by Armando Testa.
