Campaign Comes as Rival Brands Prepare New Efforts

CINCINNATI (AdAge.com) -- Revlon's Mitchum antiperspirant/deodorant brand will get its first media advertising in more than a decade this year.

The brand looks to keep pace in an increasingly competitive category that will also see new campaigns from Unilever's Degree and Suave brands, Gillette Co.'s Right Guard and Gillette series and Church & Dwight's Arm & Hammer brand this year.

Revlon, which earlier this year consolidated all advertising with Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch, New York, will also break new ads featuring actress James King for Revlon cosmetics in March.

Ms. King joins Julianne Moore, whose ads for Revlon cosmetics broke in December, in a new celebrity-oriented campaign that will survive the exit of its creator, Kirschenbaum Bond & Partners, New York.
