Modem Media and Luminant delay announcements of earnings

Published on .

Both Modem Media and Luminant Worldwide announced that they will postpone the announcements of fourth-quarter and year-end 2000 results, originally scheduled for today. For Modem Media, this comes pending completion of its regular quarter-end impairment analysis of the goodwill recorded in connection with its February 2000 acquisition of Vivid Holdings, Inc. Luminant said that the company wishes to use 2000 results for additional insight into first quarter 2001 and outlook for the year. In a statement, Jim Corey, president-CEO, said, "Luminant's management team has executed our 100 Day Plan in an outstanding manner, and we've already seen positive results that point to a profitable Q1."
