Molson Dry and Fosters move to BBDO Canada

Published on .

TORONTO -- BBDO Canada of Toronto has picked up the Molson Dry and Foster's beer accounts from Molson Breweries. The agency beat Young & Rubicam, Garneau Wurstlin Philp and fellow Molson agency MacLaren McCann to the $5 million Dry account. The Foster's business went with it.

BBDO already handles a number of brands for Molson including Red Dog, Rickard's Red and Jack Hammer. Advertising for Dry and Foster's were both previously handled by Vickers & Benson of Toronto until the agency was dropped in May. Its dismissal prompted the departure of creatives Philippe Garneau and Michael Wurstlin, who with Bruce Philp, former creative head at Vickers & Benson, were working on a creative repositioning for Dry.
