Morris quits Clinton camp

Published on .

Just days after being pictured on the cover of Time magazine, presidential adviser Dick Morris, who had a major role in Mr. Clinton's advertising, is out. Mr. Morris resigned Thursday after a tabloid paper reported he hired a call girl and let her listen in on his phone conversations with the president. Mr. Morris already had been in some trouble as a result of his sudden high visibility and ties to the Republican party. The resignation came on the eve of Mr. Clinton's acceptance speech to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
