launched a Web site
to be known as "mostNEWYORK," a theme intended to build on the paper's advertising campaign that carries the slogan "The most New York you can get." The site will offer users the opportunities to read a daily dose of gossip from columnists, view photographs, read sports stories and enter a weekly sweepstakes to win two free tickets to a Broadway show. With the introduction of its "mostNewYork" Web site, the News seeks to attract younger readers as well as a global audience of tourists visiting the city. "Our presence online represents another commitment to using technology to serve readers," said Fred Drasner, New York Daily News co-publishers and CEO.
