Motley Fool relaunches site

Published on .

Online investment site Motley Fool picked an auspicious date, April 1, to launch its all-new Web site. The new site includes message boards, daily investment news, unique research and games to teach about investing. BlairLake New Media, Kansas City, Mo., was commissioned to complete the redesign (see earlier article), but in the end only designed the message boards and the initial look and feel.

"We had contracted with [BlairLake] to do everything head to toe," said Eric Rydholm, partner in Motley Fool. But he said the company realized "we would have had to wait a long time for them to put together all the elements." Motley Fool will continue its presence on America Online, where it launched, Mr. Rydholm said. Earlier reports said the service would leave AOL.
