(July 10, 2001) MOSCOW -- French home appliances marketer Moulinex has shifted its media business in Russia into Media Edge, the media arm of WPP Group's Young & Rubicam.

The appointment follows a three-way pitch including incumbent MMI, a small French boutique, and the media department of Navigator- DDB, which handles the creative account. No budget was disclosed.

Moulinex is No. 2 in the Russian market for home appliances with a 12.6% share behind French rival Tefal at 14%, according to Gallup Media data. -- Sergey Rybak
