7-Eleven Stores, Dallas, will link with Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp.'s holiday flick "Jingle All the Way." It's the first promotion deal brokered by J. Walter Thompson USA, Chicago, which handles advertising for 7-Eleven and media buying for Fox. In November and December, 7-Eleven will re-theme its stores around the film, with extensive point-of-purchase materials and movie-inspired products, like a "Jingle Java" blend of coffee.
Separately, 7-Eleven said it will begin TV advertising on "Fox/NFL Game of the Week" Oct. 27 to announce a new set of Sprint NFL pre-paid, long-distance phone cards. The collector's series will feature NFL quarterbacks. Each phone card offers 15 minutes of pre-paid Sprint long-distance phone service.
