MPA, ACLU tell FCC they oppose content ratings for TV programs

Groups including the Magazine Publishers of America, American Civil Liberties Union and Digital Software Association filed comments last week with the Federal Communications Commission opposing moves to require content ratings for TV programming. The groups -- worried a new push for government TV ratings signals a move for similar ratings for books, videos and videogames -- warned the FCC that further government action on TV ratings could jeopardize First Amendment rights.
