MRI parent to buy Audits & Surveys

United Information Group, London, parent of Media-mark Research Inc. and Bruskin/Goldring Research, will acquire Audits & Surveys Worldwide, New York, for $42.5 million, or $3.24 per share. Audits & Surveys will operate as an autonomous subsidiary of UIG. A&S founder Solomon Dutka will continue as chairman of the company, while Arthur Bellows, president, will remain as a company consultant. Lou Bender, president-chief operating officer of MRI, will add responsibility as president-CEO of A&S. Mr. Bender also will oversee Bruskin/Goldring.
