As the Microsoft Network
expands its efforts to promote rich media to advertisers and their interactive agencies, it's also trying to give banner ads a boost. MSN is hyping new functionality for banners that enable consumers to browse and bookmark without ever leaving their favorite Web sites, along with a host of services for advertisers such as an e-mail manager, a Web courier opt-in vehicle, collaborative filtering technologies, and information and data capture vehicles. MSN started making MSN enRiched Ad Solutions available for free to online advertisers Oct. 1.
