MSN.com sets rich-media test tied to Valentine’s Day promotion

MSN.com is teaming with Viewpoint, a provider of 3D technology, to test rich-media commercials on e-commerce sites, using a promotion of Godiva Chocolates. Beginning Feb. 8, MSN.com will feature an interactive rich-media promotion for Godiva Chocolatier on their shopping site using the Viewpoint technology. The new feature allows users to unwrap, zoom up, and take a "virtual bite" of the chocolate as it projects out from the Web site. Oh, and surfers can also purchase online an assortment of the chocolates for their sweetheart.
