MSNBC launches $2 million ad campaign

MSNBC on the Internet on Sept. 2 launched a $2 million campaign to announce its redesigned Web site. The campaign was designed and executed by Quantum Leap Communications, a subsidiary of Leap Group, Chicago, which was named agency of record for MSNBC on the Internet. Called "Win Tools You Can Use," the six-week campaign offers prizes to Internet users who visit the redesigned site and try its new features. Sponsors for the promotion include U.S. Robotics, Sony Online Technologies, DirecTV, Nokia Telecommunications, Iomega Corp., Web TV Networks and DirecTV.
