Published on .

(June 5, 2001) -- Mullen/LHC, Winston-Salem, N.C., has said it is withdrawing from the $10 million to $15 million Hanes pitch, ending a 20-year relationship with the intimate apparel retailer. The unit of Interpublic Group of Cos. said its resources would be best directed at endeavors other than defending the Hanes and Hanes Her Way brands.

Hanes, a division of Sara Lee Corp., has said the review will be limited to roster shops that work for the parent company. -- Hillary Chura
