Mullen wins in Nextel consolidation

Wireless telecom company Nextel Communications, McLean, Va., consolidated its local and regional advertising assignments with its national agency, Mullen, Wenham, Mass. The local and regional business had been handled by a variety of other agencies in the 12 markets Nextel serves. Nextel spent more than $12 million in advertising in the first eight months of this year, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
