Multi-tasking: Units share roof and resources

Published on .

In an innovative sharing of resources between Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, Conill Advertising, the Hispanic agency of Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi, is moving its headquarters from New York into the Miami office of Saatchi's Latin American network, Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi. Cynthia McFarlane, 36, general manager of Saatchi's Miami office, will be Conill's managing director.

"They'll be two different units under the same roof with some shared resources," Ms. McFarlane said. For example, Antonio Lopez, Nazca's regional creative director for Procter & Gamble Co. in Latin America, will become executive creative director at Conill, and several P&G account executives for Latin America will also take on those brands in the U.S. Hispanic market.

Because of the move to Miami, Conill President Nancy Pendas-Smith has left the agency.
