Multichannel shoppers buy more: Jupiter

Multichannel shoppers -- those who interact with all retail channels available to them, whether they be traditional stores, Web sites or print catalogs -- appear to purchase more than do single-channel shoppers. Yet 76% of multichannel retailers remain unable to track consumers' behavior across those channels, according to Jupiter Communications. The consultancy says that without understanding the behavior of these customers and the ability to track it, retailers risk ceding online market share to those retailers that actively foster multichannel shopping.
