Muse Cordero Chen, a $30 million ad agency in Los Angeles targeting African-American, Asian and Hispanic consumers, will open a New York office next year.

The 10-year-old shop's new office will work on the agency's Miller Brewing Co. and PepsiCo business as well as pursue assignments with Seagram Co., Hiram Walker & Sons and Denny's. It will also seek a strategic alliance with a multinational agency.

"We are open for alliances," said Chairman-Executive Creative Director Jo Muse. " Lowe Group is one of the agencies we've gotten to know. We hope to have other meetings" with organizations such as Interpublic Group of Cos.

Gaunha Singho, a veteran New York creative and free-lancer, has been hired as chief creative director for East Coast operations while Roy Zuloaga, VP-strategic services, will take over business development for the New York office.
