N.Y. mayor to sign tobacco ad ban

New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said he will sign the nation's toughest restrictions on tobacco marketing into law later today. Ad and retailing groups have said they will immediately challenge the law, which bans all outdoor tobacco ads within 1,000 feet of a school, playground or child care center, as well as specified other forms of tobacco marketing, arguing the ordinance amounts to an illegal ban.
