NAA revives $100,000 ad contest

Published on .

Newspaper Association of America, Vienna, Va., said it is reviving the Athena awards competition to recognize creativity in newspaper advertising. The top prize is $100,000. The awards program was dormant since the early 1990s. The first call for entries, for ads that appeared in 1997, will be inside the December issue of Creativity magazine. Winners will be announced next September.
