Nabisco gets crackin'

Nabisco Foods is kicking off a nine-spot campaign Tuesday, its first umbrella effort for its cracker lines, with an event at New York's Planet Hollywood. The event is a casting call for 50 state finalists in a talent search hosted by Ed McMahon; the commercials, breaking July 1, feature Mr. McMahon, Crystal Gayle and Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Finalists in the New York talent search will travel to Boise, Idaho, the "cracker capital of the world" to compete for a $25,000 prize. Mccann-Erickson, New York, is the agency.
