Nabisco tries Olean-based crackers

Published on .

Nabisco Biscuit Co. said it would market Olean-based Fat Free Ritz crackers and Fat Free Wheat Thins in Marion, Ind. and Grand Junction, Colo. The company has been known to be eyeing an Olean-based Ritz for some time (AA, Dec. 16). Procter & Gamble Co. and Frito-Lay are testing Olean-based Fat Free Pringles and Wow! chips, respectively, in Indianapolis. Nabisco is using a print-only advertising strategy in women's service books. McCann-Erickson and Burson-Marstellar, both New York, handle the Nabisco test.
