NAI LAUNCHES PRIVACY-AWARENESS WEB SITE

Published on .

(May 25, 2001) -- The Network Advertising Initiative has launched a Web site to educate consumers about online privacy issues.

The site contains information about online advertising practices and has an area from where consumers can register to opt out of marketing practices in which they don't want to participate.

An additional site, at which consumers can complain about failures to comply with privacy issues, has been created by accounting firm Andersen. Members of the Network Advertising Initiative include Avenue A, DoubleClick and CMGI's Engage. -- Catharine P. Taylor
