NBC buys Courtroom slice

NBC has acquired Cablevision's interest in Courtroom Television (Court TV) and, as a result, doubled its equity ownership in the channel to 33 1/3%. Tom Rogers, president of NBC Cable and exec VP of NBC, said the network was "always looking for an opportunity to enhance our position in the cable industry. Court TV ... has clearly established itself as one of the truly leading cable program franchises."
