NBC exec takes senior MediaVest job

Mel Berning was named exec VP-director of national broadcast at MediaVest, New York, the MacManus Group unit that houses the $1 billion Procter & Gamble Co. media assignment, among other big accounts. Mr. Berning comes to MediaVest from NBC, where he most recently was senior VP-pricing and planning. MediaVest Exec VP-Director of National Broadcast Rino Scanzoni will retain that title and split duties with Mr. Berning.
