LOS ANGELES (AdAge.com) -- The NBC Agency, NBC's in-house promotion division, will handle the TV creative on-air promotion for America: A Tribute to Heroes, the telethon for the victims of last week's terrorist attacks.

The four major networks -- ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox -- will all simultaneously air the special Friday from 9 to 11 pm.

One 20-second spot will have a flag waving in the background, while the announcer reads: "This Friday American television and radio will present a historic first time event. A two-hour live superstar benefit for the victims, for the rescuers, for the nation. America: A Tribute to Heroes. Friday 9 p.m. on this station."

The telethon will feature celebrities such as Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jim Carrey and Tom Cruise, among many others.
