(Sept. 5, 2001) -- NBC has formalized its cross-platform ad selling division under the name NBC Connect, which will be headed by Jay Linden, who was named executive vice president.

Mr. Linden, who will report to NBC Television Network President Randy Falco, had been senior vice president of sales development and marketing at NBC since 1998.

In addition to the NBC network and 13 TV stations, the division will put together cross-advertising platforms that will include NBC units such as CNBC, MSNBC, NBC.com, MSNBC and MSNBC.com.

NBC Connect has recently completed deals with Paramount Studios, Kmart, Target and Nestle Carnation. -- Wayne Friedman
