NBC, AT&T sign broadband deal

NBC and AT&T Broadband & Internet Services have signed an eight-year agreement under which customers of AT&T's broadband services will receive cable offerings CNBC and MSNBC. Also under the deal, AT&T BIS will carry NBC's Olympic programming package on CNBC and MSNBC. As part of the agreement, NBC granted AT&T BIS retransmission consent for NBC's 13 owned and operated stations through Dec. 31, 2008. Also, AT&T BIS will provide NBC's digital programming - including high definition TV programming - to AT&T BIS cable customers.
