McDonald's Corp. and the Negro League Baseball Museum take the field Feb. 13 for a promotion tied to the league's 75th anniversary.

The promotion handled by Simon Marketing, New York, opens in Detroit, Philadelphia and Baltimore. It will run until mid-March. McDonald's may expand it this summer to 17 other markets where the league had teams. Major League Baseball is a co-sponsor.

A cap with the 75th anniversary logo-for a "nominal fee" with purchase at participating McDonald's-is the first item offered, said Tom Busch, general counsel-licensing agent, Holbrook Heaven, Fay, licensing agent for the Negro League, Kansas City, Mo.
