Nestle changes agencies in Canada

Published on .

TORONTO--Nestle Canada has moved is chocolate confectionary business from MacLaren McCann of Toronto to J. Walter Thompson, also of Toronto. This move aligns the account globally. JWT is already handling Nestle's chocolate business in the U.S., the U.K. and European markets.

The Nestle brands affected in the agency reassignment include Kit Kat, Smarties, Aero, Coffee Crisp and Flipz. However, MacLaren McCann hangs on to other Nestle products, including Nescafe Good Start, Follow-Up, Wonka and Coffeemate brands.

Media buying for Nestle Canada remains with Publicis-owned Optimedia Canada for English advertising and Marketel/ McCann Erickson Ltd. for French media.
