Nestle dives deeper into water

Nestle is planning to launch a new table-water brand across Europe, with a March rollout likely. "We have not yet decided on a name," said a spokeswoman from Nestle agency Publicis, Paris, which will handle the new brand. Nestle has been testing up to 200 names for the new water brand. Nestle sees significant growth potential in bottled water, which now represents 8% of its total sales, up from 1% in 1998. The company also is rolling out a global bottled-water brand for the developing world. Launch markets include Pakistan and Brazil.
