New Net 'zines for Java, Netscape fans

International Data Group is launching its first startup Web-based magazine. JavaWorld Magazine starts Feb. 15 as an ad-supported, controlled-circulation multimedia Web title aimed at Internet developers and focusing on Sun Microsystems' hot Internet tool. Netscape World makes its debut March 5 as an ad-supported site for tech executives interested in Netscape Communications Corp.'s products. It'll initially be free but shift to subscription-based.
