Ford Motor Co. and Marriott International are the latest marketers to open up on the World Wide Web. Ford's site offers up the typical automaker fodder (pictures of cars, technical specs and a dealer locator), as well as a detailed company history and information about Ford financial programs. The site soon will offer a downloadable version of the Ford Simulator software. Marriott, meanwhile, offers up a company profile, its 1994 annual report and information on all its properties. Unlike competitors Holiday Inn and Hilton Hotels Corp., Marriott doesn't yet allow online reservations.
