Net2Phone tests wireless campaign

A wireless ad campaign test by Net2Phone, a provider of voice-enhanced Internet communications services, sparked 62% of 400 opt-in recipients to respond to a short promotional message for Net2Phone calling cards. Sixty-eight percent of those who responded to the offer purchased a Net2Phone card; there was a 74 percent increase in overall consumer awareness of Net2Phone services, and more than 50 percent of recipients indicated willingness to receive at least four such wireless ads monthly. FusionOne, San Jose, Calif., a provider of Internet synchronization services, handled the wireless test effort.
