Published on .

Netword, an Arlington, Va., Internet keyword company, has been awarded a U.S. patent for its Netword System, a central registry of intuitive names created by Internet users that point to URLs. Using Networds, for which the company charges $5 per month to register, users can access Web pages by common names instead of URLs.
